Welcome to CAL's Copyright Express service

Copyright Express is a simple way to request permission to photocopy or digitally copy from a hard copy original. It is a copyright clearance service offered by CAL.

What does Copyright Express do?

You can use Copyright Express if you are not covered by a CAL copying licence, or if the copying you want to do falls outside the terms of your CAL licence.

Copyright Express is not an instant approval service - sometimes we need to contact a copyright owner to seek permission to copy on your behalf. Please allow at least 48 hours for approval of your request.

Do you own copyright?

If you own copyright in print material, you can nominate to have that material available for use under our Copyright Express service.

Already a CAL member? If you chose to participate in our Commercial Reproduction scheme when you joined CAL, your works are already included in the Copyright Express service. If you didn't choose to participate in our Commercial Reproduction scheme, and you would like to make any or all of your works available for Copyright Express, simply contact our Member Services department.
